The Preparatory year at USV (Ștefan cel Mare University of Suceava) is a one-year Romanian language program designed for international students who plan to study a future Bachelor, Master or PhD in Romanian. It follows the national framework for the “an pregătitor de limba română pentru cetățenii străini”, a university-level program of at least 28 teaching weeks and 60 ECTS, culminating in a B1-level language exam.

Programme Structure

The Preparatory year at USV follows the national standard for Romanian preparatory programs: a one-year, full-time course of 60 ECTS, ending with an exam certifying at least B1 level in Romanian. Preparatory year at USV Semester 1 – Foundations
