Bucharest medical and pharmaceutical higher education dates for over a century, with Carol Davila, a Romanian doctor of French origins, collaborating with Nicolae Kretzulescu to start medical education in Romania by forming the National School of Medicine and Pharmacy in 1857. On November 12th, 1869, the establishment of the Bucharest Faculty of Medicine became possible, opening its courses on November 22nd, 1869 as the first faculty of medicine from the University of Bucharest.
In 1948, the Faculties of Medicine and Pharmacy were separated from the University of Bucharest and incorporated as the Institute of Medicine and Pharmacy. In 1991, the Institute changed its name to the Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy. The institution has continuously evolved to become Romania’s leading medical education center, maintaining its commitment to excellence in healthcare education and research while expanding international cooperation and modernizing its facilities.

I think if it wasn’t for Stinov, I would have missed the deadline this year like last year.
