The Faculty of Pharmacy at Iuliu Hațieganu University consists of three departments: Pharmacy 1, Pharmacy 2, and Pharmacy 3. Department 2 of the Faculty of Pharmacy includes two core subjects, General and Inorganic Chemistry and Physical Chemistry, as well as three specialized subjects: Therapeutic Chemistry, Pharmacology, Physiology, Physiopathology, and Toxicology. With 22 teaching staff and 5 auxiliary members, Department 2 offers both compulsory and optional courses within the Faculty of Pharmacy curriculum, Pharmacy and Nutrition-Dietetics study programs, and the Faculty of Dental Medicine.
The specialized subjects form a core part of pharmaceutical studies, focusing on drug action, and supporting two research master’s degrees within the department. Additionally, faculty are actively involved in training residents across all four pharmacy specialties.
Department 2 of the Faculty of Pharmacy offers a diverse set of courses essential to pharmaceutical education, including Drug Analysis, Physical Chemistry, General and Inorganic Chemistry, Clinical Pharmacy, Pharmacology, Physiology, Pathophysiology, Mathematics-Informatics, and Toxicology.
